What year bike are you putting it on?
I have a Maxca xplay C5 lite I’m selling because it interferes with my 22 GTL’s WiFi connection.

I also have a 2022. So you’re saying it won’t work on our bikes? Do we need to have the WiFi running on the bike if we’re using a different nav system. ? Sorry to sound ignorant, but I don’t know.
Did you mount your unit to the center plug on the bars?

In order for it to work correctly you won’t be able to activate the TFT map on the bike, and I wanted to retain that option.
And yes, I have a RAM ball on the center stem mount, and that’s where I mounted it.
Got it. Thank you. Yeah, I want to get it to replace BMW’s nav system. I find it too clunky and our group uses TomTom go so we
Can share routes.
So how would the CarPlay screen help with TomTom routes?

He uses TomTom Go. A mobile Navigation app by TomTom that is compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto.

CarPlay runs the tomtomgo app!
I have more questions about the installation, mount, how much of the tft does it block ect.. if you’d be willing to take a phone call. Text me at +14089309370 Thanks. Don
I mounted a Carpuride on my 2020. It works great. Yes, it has some quirks, but once you know them it's just have to remember to handle them before you start to ride.

Looks great. Thanks for the info
Good morning. Carpuride has just released an actual Motorcycle version of their carplay screen. I have been thrilled with my non-waterproof Car version mounted on the bike. It looks like they made some changes for motorcycle use.

I have no affiliation with them, but I love the addition to my bike,

My buddy and I were talking about the need for a device like that. I took a look at the link and it sounds like it will work. Hopefully the quality is there. Keep us posted on yours.

I have been using mine since February. It's the car version. Even in below freezing weather it been awesome. The touch screen works well with my gloves (much better than the phone's touch screen). I hard wired it to the battery and just use the on and off switch.

It has a few quirks because of the way CarPlay works. Car play wants to force audio to the Carpuride tiny speaker. I have to manually select audio output on the iPhone to the headset, after it's connected to the Carpuride unit.

Do you have to wire extra cables to the battery for the carpuride device, or can you connect it to an excisting usb socket?

It needs 12 volts. It comes with an accessory plug that can be plugged into the fairing accessory outlet via a DIN converter. I wired it directly to the battery.

Sorry, Life got in the way. It was a really easy install.

  1. I was using this Phone holder in the Navi location, and re-purposed it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09W5T3PZ5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. I then used this mount that came with the Carpuride unit. CARPURIDE Portable Sticker Bracket
  3. With double sided 3M auto body tape. I stuck it to the iPhone mount. This has stayed firmly mounted through below freezing temps and 90+ temps.
  4. This mount also lets you tilt the screen to minimize sun glare.
  5. I then wired it directly to the battery, hiding the wire in the fairing. I used this CARPURIDE Type-C 12V - 24V to 5V/2A Max Car Charger Cable kit

It truly is easy and took all of 20 minutes, including the planning. I would buy there newest unit with 2 bluetooth connections. This would eliminate the issues I have with CarPlay trying to play through their auto out. I have to manually select my helmet from the phone.
