Just signed up yesterday on a 6/15 K1600GT, White with top case, Akrapovics, Nav 5, radio etc. Only 7500km on the ODO.

Looks mint.

I'm looking forward to putting some big distances on it over the next few years.

It's my first bike with this CANBUS stuff so I'll probbly be asking some "stupid" questions over in the Tech area.

Thanks for the opportunity to join this community.

Hi Lindsay and welcome to the forum, excellent bike you have got there, it will make you want to put miles on it  BMW have had canbus on their bikes for quite some time now so there are plenty of ways to work with it and this is the place to find out about how :nerd: - cheers Ross

I have previously done a ride from Perth to Darwin via Port Augusta and Port Hedland on my 1400GTR.
I have also done a lap of Australia via Highway 1.

My planned inaugural ride on the K1600GT is as linked below. I'm planning on this ride in August.

A great looking tour, I'm hoping to come over to do the Indian Pacific rail tour next year so I guess I may be following some of your route.

I've done the Indian Pacific twice, when I was a student in the '70s and it was cheaper to go by train, than to fly from Western Australia to New South Wales.

I'm sure you will enjoy yourself.
