Nice ride
My wife wanted to digging in the Opal Mines today so I told her I'd ride and meet her yesterday. I chose a loop up through Gerlach, over in to CA, up into OR and then back across to Denio. We spent the night in Denio and had a burger at the junction. The road across from Lakeview was very nice and gave me 75 miles of twisties to check out the new suspension.

Agree! I love riding the lonely roads with zero traffic and wide open spaces where you see forever! Highway 140 from Winnemucca NV to Denio to Adel to Lakeview is an unknown gem. Good pavement (for the most part) and interesting (to me) scenery. Best ridden in the spring or fall, and remember to top off with fuel when available, the only stores are at Denio and Adel and have limited hours. I rode this same segment last year, May 2022.
