@Bills9r , sorry to hear you had to pick up your bike. Hard to tell from the photo but it doesn't look like there was much damage... :)

Congrats. What year is she? Ive only had mine about a month now, its a 2013 looks like the same color. I absolutely love mine.

Although im on the shorter side of average (5'6)
I lnow there was a guy on here making a lowering link. I honestly need about 3 or 4 inches.😬😬😬.

Anyone have any suggestions? I hate to mess with bike height as i hear it changes ergonomics alot... any have any experience with the dog bone/lowering links from ebay?
@bryan.reynoldz , reach out to @FloRider, Doug. He's been my wingman for close to 20 years and rides a GT. He's maybe 5'6", 140 lbs soaking wet. I know he changed to a custom built lower seat and did not alter the bike's ride height. Doug seemingly has no issues; he can roll.

Congratulations, must have been a hot day in more than one way.

Hey thanks for that info! Im unfortunately unable to send him a message, maybe because of my low post count? I could be doing something wrong. If time allows (yours and his) would you have him send me a PM?
Much respect!

So, I made it home, 95 degrees on the air temp gauge. 150 miles yesterday, 250 today. Love letter coming.....

A: Thank you to all on this forum that answer repeated questions, and post valuable information. It influenced my decision greatly, I'm glad it did.

B. I was freaked out over potential hostilities from the bike, engine knock, Nav issues, everything else that has been reported.
I have had none of that, bike has performed flawlessly, so far.

C. I am absolutely in love with my 2022 GT.
I have ridden all sorts of cool stuff over the years, but only as loaners, friends bikes, ect...
I am glad I bought a new 2022, period. It had 6.1 miles on it when I left the dealer.

This friggin girl is the absolute Queen B of her world. It does everything it is supposed to sooooo well.
I could go on and on with accolades, but ya'll already know.

So I will sum it up like this.

Get a mountain goat (they are as sure footed as anything on the planet)
Put a saddle made of slightly warm butter on the goat. ( I am NOT saying the GT saddle is that comfy, an RDL will be on it for next season, I AM talking about the suspension)
Strap an orbital boost rocket to the goat,

Get in the butter saddle, light the rocket, and and Away We Go!

This bike is everything I have ever wanted for pavement. Period.

ESA
Navigation, that worked for me
Brakes that would stop a Rhinocerous with the trots from getting to the porta potty.
Thrust for days. (note: drastically overtaking the Harleys that passed that car before me;))
And O so comfy ergos for my 5'9 normalnish.
Plus she is gorgeous. Seriuosly, every gas stop, someone walked up to talk about it.

Thanks again for all the discussion.

Just curious - how much shorter is @FloRider when he dries out?

How badly did dealer treat you on out the door price?
I test ride one two weeks ago for $32,000 and change with no gps. 2022 no new ones in Florida for sale or very few they are asking a fortune for them.

$29480 with new matching top box. Out the door. It was $200 over msrp, plus a Doc fee of $299. I have to cover the taxes when I register it in my state, so that willl add about $2060.00.
(He had a used silver top box I was set to get, but the black one showed up while I was waiting to get up there.
I coughed up 1400 for a 5 year Bumper to Bumber extension with Battery replacement thrown in. (I'm never sure if those are worth it, but considering the cost of electronics these days...)
Premium Package
It has the radio. Not sure why, I could not hear it on max with helemt on. I need to play with it more, I might use it for short hops, but i doubt it.
Did I mention I love Sennheiser TM 3 ear buds? The noise canceling is just the best out there.
It has the ground lights. These are actually kinda handy.

Joe at Tytlers Cycle, DePere, WI was excellent to work with.
I showed up with my tank bag and windscreen, he keyed the box, installed the tank bag ring, and the windshield without batting an eye or charging me. Not that it's hard, but it's the little things.
They also prewire the bikes with an optimate blug to the battery, again not much cost, but it is there.
Anwered all my questions, I was there maybe 90 minutes, and on the road.
They were just good dudes.

I bought it beacuse it was close, had the premium and was Black.

My local guy called last week and had gotten a new red/white/blue......I'm sure he'll sell for msrp. I don't know the specs.

To be more precise, I'm 5'5" and bone dry I'm 148, so soaking wet I'm 149.... The only thing I did to my 2014 K16 GT Sport was lower the seat 1 inch which provided me all the ground reaching "comfort" i needed. I have no issues or concerns with bike height. (y)
