Anyone use Koss Ports Pros on this mod?
Porta-Pro's
Yes, as I posted much earlier. Pretty good for the low cost of them, not much bass or even null on the "punch" factor. For the price tho... can't go wrong.

I can't recall the Bose model number I used. I will have to go back and dig that back up....

I have a pair of $1500 Sennheiser ones that I was just to chicken to pull apart and use in a helmet application. I figured the Bose set was only $200, much more within my reason of insanity ;)

I used the Porta-Pro's too. It was a good impedance match to the originals, and it was cheap and easy. Worked fine, gave me a bit better bass and I felt like it was worth the time and money, but if there's another driver out there that might do more, I'd like to try it.

I also was able to pair everything as you outlined. But has anyone had problems with the SRC system turning itself off. Fully charged and working but periodically the helmet systems simply turns off.
I unpaired everything and repaired and it works great. Until the system turns off.
Anybody have any ideas?

Hi,

I have my iPhone 5 running iOS 8 paired to the SRC system. The problem is that I cannot answer calls via voice nor by hitting the call button on the src unit. I have no idea what the problem is. I can hear the phone ring for incoming calls. The SRC tells me that "mobile phone connected". I can double tap the call button to redial etc. Is there some setting which I must have configured on my iPhone because all the settings on the SRC are activated?

confused new owner

Hi everybody,
I am from Turkey and I need your help before talking and possibly arguing with the service here.
I've read all the threads on this topic but couldn't find an answer to these questions. (or maybe I missed the answers)
I have received my GTL Exclusive a week ago and I own a Schuberth SRC system which I intend to use it with this bike too.
My first problem is that the service/distributor is telling me that in order to use any communication system, I have to pay an extra 120 USD to get the bike’s Bluetooth system working (not for pairing but just working). They are saying or thinking that the reason for this has something to do with the pacemaker owners.
Is this also the case for you guys in the US? Did you also pay something to get it to working?
My other concern is that if I succeed in pairing the phone, the bike and the SRC system, will I need the NAV 5 to see my contacts and/or people calling me?
I hope someone will take the time and answer me.

Sounds like they are blowing up your skirt!
1st thing I would do, is clear the BT memory on the bike.
2nd clear the memory on your SRC. Both easy to do.
3. Pair the devices. If it works you just saved the time trouble and $$.
What do you have to lose?

I have BMW communicator and have had very little problems, yes it is tricky to get setup and I followed the book exactly or it does not work. I wish that I could talk bike to bike. I ride 2 up and have no problem pairing the helmets but would like to talk to my buddy who we ride with. Any suggestions? I don't think BMW comm has a second channel?

Marcus,

We followed your step by step instructions and were able to set up helmet #1 pretty easily with the bike (K1600). However, we are not having success with my wife's helmet as helmet #2. We ride 2 up. We both have new Schubert C3 Pro helmets with the SRC communication system v 4.0. What should we be doing differently?

Regards,
Gary

I have the Schuberth C3 with the SRC and NAV IV on the K1600GT - and I was connecting the iPhone to the NAV IV, then the NAV IV to the helmet - well this worked about 50 to 75% of the time - and was quite annoyed when after a rest stop this spring I could not get it to work again - charged the helmet, and etc - and still nothing - left a long for about 24 hours - then it was working again - it was SOOOO unreliable - so I tried a DIFFERENT approach.
I deleted ALL the Bluetooth set up from the NAV IV, and then turned off Bluetooth altogether from the NAV IV - THEN I TRIED THIS.
1. I deleted ALL the setup from the Helmet
2. Then I paired the HELMET (SRC) to my iPHONE (6 plus) with the phone button.
3. Then I paired the BIKE to the Helmet (SRC) using the '+' button (SEE THE SRC manual how to do this).
4. Then LEAVE bluetooth OFF for the NAV IV.
5. NOW to connect:
A. Turn the SRC ON - you should hear something like 'Phone connected'
B. Turn the motorcycle on
You will have the phone working, and about 30 seconds later you should have 'music' through the helmet (SRC).
C. To hear directions from the NAV IV - leave the bluetooth from the NAV IV off - the directions will go through the Bike Audio - and will interrupt the radio/ music slightly - IF you want it to - set the volume in the NAV IV accordingly.

** Now the phone will NOT work through the NAV IV - nor will you get your contacts through the NAV IV anymore - but honestly - I keep my phone on a RAM MOUNT - so easy to do so - and you can VOICE activate the iPhone through the helmet (SRC) - and I think the iPhone connection is MUCH better directly to the helmet than through the NAV IV.

Tell me what you think if you try this.

Hmm, I quite like that, will try it out later tonight.

On the other note... I can no longer get on schuberth website for manuals or software updates, but what I've noticed is a new version of C3 Pro SRC?? SRC Pro with music sharing function, which sounds a lot like the Sena function but in schuberth package, but can't find any info on this anywhere..
