I've finally been ablt to put a few miles on my new-to-me K1600GT. When I took a sharp left hand turn I didn't think I was leaned over that far but I scraped the foot peg which startled me. Upon looking at the bike and then comparing to a stock GT, I believe that the PO must have installed a foot peg lowering kit. Can anyone confirm that for me? If so, I may decide to remove them

It’s kind of what I thought. I’m not sure how I feel about the pegs lowered. It is comfortable but it definitely reduces the lean angle by a lot. I’m not Valentino Rossi but I do like to zip around corners.

Those might be Wunderlich or Suburban Machinery parts. Pricey. Sell here if you remove them.

Do you ride in 2up and sport mode? If not, give it a try and see if the added height helps you out.
