I went to start my 2018 K1600GTL after a summer of heavy, reliable riding and this is what comes up. After a few start attempts, the system panel doesn’t come up at all and remains black. Any advice?

1. If available, connect GS911 (or similar device) and read/note/reset trouble codes.
2. Disconnect the battery negative terminal, wait 30 minutes, and then reconnect.
3. Make an appointment @ my local BMW mechanic...
It's lit up like a Christmas tree. A failed battery (6 years old?) would be my first guess too.
I had a similar issue with my little F650GS a while back - read 12.4 v off the charger, but had minimal CCA so all went blank as soon as I pressed the start button.
Possible rodent damage? Last summer i had a squirrel chew some wires on my truck and the dash was lit up like a Christmas tree. Cost me over 300 dollars for my mechanic to fix the damage
It was a bad battery - original 2018 AGM. I followed another post and replaced the bad battery with a LiFePO4 from Bosch. Fired right up. Thx all for pointing me in the right direction.
AGM battery would have been your best bet BY FAR! Advice to anyone looking to replace a vehicle battery, purchase a bonafide AGM battery, one that comes out of the box ready to go. Also, it's a much better buy.
I didn't chime in, but was nodding my head with the "bad battery" comments. I've seen some strange dash activity with low voltage. It's my go-to guess. Glad you're back to 100%.
Another vote for failing battery.
Swap it out to restore logic again.
