Has anyone else had this issue?

Just bought my new to me 2012 K1600GTL, 14K miles. It's been 100 here all week but both of my roundels on either side of the bike have fallen off.... I see they run $70 a piece to replace and are held on by just sticky tape?!?!

Part number 51147721222 from BMW...

anyone have a cheaper source / better mounting method?

I was going to upgrade to shrodie but just realized they require the factory roundel....m

are you sure it's really a bmw under there? maybe the previous owner stuck the roundels onto an inferior motorcycle.

I bought from Stephen after seeing the below post, and can confirm that the roundel quality received is superb - they don't have the two locating posts on the back, but that would not bother me.

I've had my original ones off and reinstalled using a high grade 3M auto mounting tape, which is better than the original tape.

Awesome, I'll order from Stephen! Did you buy 70mm or 70mm MS. Do you also have roundel lights or just replace the OEM roundels?

Don't like the 70mm MS, and don't have roundel lights.

I bought the 70mm for mounting below my number plate, and that's the same size you need.
