The yellow triangle just means it has a code error but nothing bad unless that was read. I think a software update may be required. along with clearing the code that would be done at the same time. My R1250RT had a similar thing happen and all it was a software update that fixed the problem. In fact the dealership got the notice from BMW of the update just after the last owner did the last service in February and would not have know about it
