Hi All

Spent a lot of time on the phone organizing the Tasmania Trip and have booked Boat over and Accommodation for 25 riders ( with flexibility to add or deduct ) until Mid October. Its the Boat over that needs the committed numbers. Tassie Accommodation, all places are very flexible with numbers.
The cost all up is $1,200.oo = It includes Boat Over, Boat Back, All Accommodation with some breakfasts included. I have organized a support vehicle, if there is a bike problem, we don't hold up the ride. There is some flexibility in Cabins over and back, but it costs a bit more, let me know if you want to spend a bit more for twin share cabins with port holes
So all you have to do is show up with ya bike, a spare pair of Knickers and a Smile.

Trip Bookings ( Accommodation )
24/02/23 = Meet at my Office in Mulgrave Vic and ride as a Group to Geelong or Meet at Geelong (5pm) Boat departs 9pm arrives > Tassie 7am
25/02/23 = Prince Of Wales Hotel ( Battery Point ) Hobart
26/02/23 = Pedder Wilderness Lodge ( Strathgordon )
27/02/23 = Bayside Hotel ( St Helens )
28/02/23 = Central Highlands Lodge ( Meina )
01/03/23 = Strahan Village Hotel ( Strahan ) love this place
02/03/23 = Seaview Inn ( Stanley )
03/03/23 = Boat Back to Geelong

I am opening a bank account with Brendan for the trip ( he rode with me up to Uralla ). It will be a dual account with cards to us both for the trip.

What i will need.
  • Deposit $ 600.oo Please Note ( if riders have to pull out, I will refund the money, if i can replace your position ) this is highly likely as i have many riders wanting to come.
  • Your Name, Contact Details, Email and Bike Registration PM me these details
  • Balance of Costs end of December 2022.

If there is any other info you need , just send me a msg. Hope it all makes sense

When i get this Bank Account Open I will give you the details via PM

See booking details for boat and payment structure below, Ive asked for deposit and full payment prior just incase someone has to pull out, i can have enough time to organize someone else to take the spot.

No way I can make that trip, but I am confused. You say the cost all up is $1200, then farther down the post, there is a deposit 12 weeks prior to departure of $2500. Is the $1200 what it costs for the whole trip (boat, hotel, some breakfasts) and the $2500 deposit for everyone who's going on the boat? Sounds like an awesome time will be had by those that can go!

Hi Lee
Yes that last section, is only the ship commitment details, I direct cut and pasted it. So everyone can see my commitments for the group.
8 nights away, ( 2 on Ship/6 in Tassie ) incl accommodation, some breakfasts for $1,200.oo which also includes shipping to Tasmania. Not a bad deal I reckon.
There maybe some other small costs ie Esky in support vehicle beer, soft drink etc we can discuss on the ship over.

I think Lee might be thinking the non refundable deposit of $2500 is per person which would be odd given the total cost per person is $1200, it’s how I read it initially.

Yes sorry, I was in a hurry to get to a meeting. I should have pointed out, below info is from Spirit of Tasmania booking details.
I just cut and pasted the info from their email.

As I stated, I will refund the deposits ( $600 ) if I can get riders to fill the position. You Guys just need to give me enough notice so I can organise a rider to fill it.
LOL I can't run away with the money, Southern State Population and Some of You Northerners can easily find me.

Thought I should create a new thread for this so it can be easily tracked
Thanks

Yep, you cleared that up, Damo. I figured if I had questions, somebody else might too. This sounds like an awesome trip. It'll be freezing cold up here by then so some of us have to live vicariously through all of you!

Wrapped to have you onboard mate. Jenks , You and I will be lining up the Bs, we may need to separate the bikes between all the others to pretty up the Group.

If we get Troy, Donna and Capt Rumbo all Bs, the roads of Tassie will be even prettier than they already are.

Good Luck Keeping Up With Jenks,

Good Luck Keeping Up With Jenks,
It would be fantastic to ride with a fleet of B’s… only ever seen one that wasn’t mine.
