I think I worked out why my efforts to scrape the hero pegs came to naught: the self levelling element of the new K16 meant that it jacked up the preload with all my kit, hence the higher ground clearance and higher pegs.

@Troy1690 Thanks for the video: not 😂. Maybe a cut for my insurance claim, trying a turn in third and stalling is not a good look 🙊

You will have to talk to BMW about that fault that won’t allow you to scrape pegs John 😁

The video from my cameras, warning this video is way to long and slow, it’s mostly from the last couple of days, I’ve got to change memory cards and clean the camera more often on future trips
and of course the camera makes it look like we were going a lot faster than our slow scenic cruise speed that we all rode around at.

Didn’t go through Thredbo, so not much to see on the alpine way as you go past, but great idea for next time.

The best view of Thredbo I ever had was driving back down the hill in the middle of the night with snow and ice all over the place in the coach. I hated putting on snow chains on the coach at that time of night it is bitch. Give me the sun and dry weather anytime thanks.

My crew do a November Vic/NSW high country ride through the snowfields ( usually minor or no snow at that time of year ) anyone is welcome to join us.

It’s a great ride, I’m usually playing with those XRs Emotional Ed and Wheelie Tim try to Bully me on them
