Skene or Viz-Tech will do the job.

I went with a very inexpensive GS-100A module that someone else on the forum had used. Easy-peasy and works great for the eye catching quick flash when brakes are applied. Not fancy, no turn indicator, just 4 quick flashes, 4 slow flashes, then solid brake light. It tucks in right behind the factory brake light insert in the top box.

Yes, it includes a wire to connect to the top box to flash both. With this post am I correct in assuming that if I add a plug and play unit such as the Viz-Tech it will have the same effect on the topbox light as the bike main unit. In other words it will effect both units the same?

I cut the two wires on the light, downstream of the factory bike-to-light quick connect if you will, and connected two wires in and two wire out to the module. I had no instructions on which light wire was to go to black and red of module, but it was easy to test; wire it one way and pull hand brake. If it flashes, that's correct. If not, reverse them. There are several vendors of this GS-100A unit. I simply linked the first Amazon one that came up. There may be even cheaper deals than $12 each. For a simple light flash addition, I don't think it comes cheaper or easier. Best of luck. How did you wire it in? On the wires leading into the brake/light insert?

Clearwater Lights have brake lights which can be tied into the top case light. More expensive than some of the options listed but if you plan on Clearwater Lights of some kind for the front anyway it might make sense.
Custom dynamics universal flasher. Only 3 wires. 10 different flashing patterns to choose from. $65 including shipping. Hook it up under the seat. No panels to remove.

I just installed one of these as well, very easy install and is programable
I picked up a couple of these on Amazon. Where did you get the BMW plugs? Is the plug joint under the trunk brake light bezel?I bought one of these; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vehicle-...e-Flash-Module-Controller-Box-UQ/202516514230 Not expensive. I wired it in by soldering BMW plugs on either end, so not cutting the harness. As mentioned elsewhere there is plenty of room behind the fitting. It does not upset the CanBus.
For the price I can't fault it.
My brother-in-law used to work on BMWs. When he was replacing wiring the old harness went in the bin.........! Yes the plug joint is behind the bezel.I picked up a couple of these on Amazon. Where did you get the BMW plugs? Is the plug joint under the trunk brake light bezel?
