Hello,

We’re here to announce some changes to the Motorcycle.com app. Firstly, we regret to say that Tapatalk is pulling its support of our branded Motorcycle.com apps, both the free and paid versions. As a result no further updates for them will be released and they will no longer be available for download as of December 31st 2015. Sites that request it can be added to the main version of Tapatalk, but all app support will need to go through Tapatalk itself.

However, we can now announce that we have developed a brand new Motorcycle App developed with a different company that we will be working very closely with. This will allow for issues to be addressed in a much timelier manner. The new app can be found here!

iOS: Motorcycle Free (Motorcycle.com) by AutoGuide.Com https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/moto...000718653?mt=8

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...torcycle&hl=en

You’ll notice that there’s no paid version of this app. That’s because unlike the old app this one recognizes paid users on the site and is ad free for those groups!

Some other important features include:

Being able to switch freely between light and dark skins!
Being able to upload more than one picture at a time!
Instant push notifications for all of your subscriptions and PM’s
Regular updates directly through the site so you don’t have to search through the app store!
A new streamlined look for speed readers and posters!

We hope you enjoy this brand new app and we thank you for all the time you put in to the old!

As always we welcome your suggestions and issues, so please post them here!
Remember to include your device and operating system when you’re posting issues!

Thanks

I stopped using the app after constantly having issues with advert links hijacking the app.

Hopefully this issue has been resolved?

I have only been using this forum on my laptop so far, but maybe will use it on my phone when I am traveling.

One change I would like to see.
On the "new posts" page, when you click on a thread/post link, it opens in the same window/tab. I wish it would open in a new tab like when you click on a link in a post within the threads.

It is hard to drink my coffee, smoke my cig, and "control/click" at the same time. And right clicking, then clicking on "open in a new tab" has worn out my right clicker to the point that it rarely works now, so I must use the left hand on the control button and right hand on the left clicker, thus spilling my coffee and putting out my cig. Seriously.
Thanks for considering the request.
Best,
Darryl

Hi Darryl, I recently needed to retool my computer and found that the new tab function was a fix I could address in my browser. I currently use two Internet browsers (Firefox and Chrome) depending on what I am viewing. I used to use Explorer. With Firefox and Explorer I found that I could change a setting so that when I clicked a link it automatically opened a new tab. I then could set it so that I either was automatically switched to the new tab or not. Made life simple for sure. I found that Chrome does not have that setting so as with you I need to right click and make the selection to open a new tab. I prefer Chrome to view this forum so I am stuck in the same boat.

Not sure if my comments can help or if I am just blabbering away. I enjoy reading and learning from your posts.

All the best and Merry Christmas!

There is still paid version of the motorcycle.com app listed when I looked it up today. I tried deleting the old one and installing the new one, but it looks like the old one is still the new one?

Is the old app still to remain in place, or do I need to update or delete and reinstall. It shows the last update as September 2015.

Thanks,
Darryl

Thanks. And Thanks. Good information, no blabber. I may play around with the settings sometime. I used to be good with computers, but I think age has caused a lack of interest these days. Miss reading the paper every morning. Never had to reboot my morning paper, as long as it arrived dry and in one piece. But, for a little more than the price of the local paper, I get to read this forum too. Also, the paper didn't have a Google section.

No one uses the Windows phone.

Hahaha. Just kidding!
I had several Win phones and I like them best of all. However, I always dump them for an Android for the same reason. I can't find apps for it when I need them. That's too bad cause I think they are the best phones around: Simple and stable.
