@coyotek , I don't think it will matter either way; just run the GS911 to recalibrate suspension.

Porters likes it that way but I forgot and ran 911 recal like Duanne said
EDIT: I’ve never changed those batts in my ‘16 either and use it quite a bit.

How did a shock discussion infiltrate an alarm battery thread?
:ROFLMAO: I’ll fix that.

I've never armed the bike alarm.
+1 @Arizona Jim , me either.

Duane
Mine arms automatically every time I lock the cases. Is this solely a function of the 22+ MYs, or all the models with keyless ride? If I recall correctly I believe there’s a setting in the TFT to disable automatic arming.

I worked on my Cub too this weekend. Got the blades sharpened and the engine serviced.

Day late, dollar short? Well, I tried to go back on topic! But @coyotek has the right idea! I have to go prep the yard machines too!

Lock the side cases with the remote? I almost forgot you could do that. I haven't carried the remote on me since I bought the '12 GT. I'm going to miss just having to have a key with the '23 GT..

Duane,
You're going to like the keyless start system. Just put the fob in your pocket in the morning. No more digging in your pocket for a key after you mounted your bike and put your helmet on. One thing to remember though is taking the fob/key out of your seat lock after getting under there. I've been riding down the highway and while relaxing my left arm I touched it still engaged in the seat lock.

I also suggest storing the fob in your garage either in a metal tool box or far enough away from the bike that it isn't "talking to the bike". That will let the battery last longer. I put a new one in the first of the year even though it will last longer than that. I carry a spare fob battery in a side case although the bike will start if you lay the dead fob forward of the gas cap or do the same with the emergency key that will come with your bike.

Welcome to the 20s

Yup, never take it out of my pocket. There is a lock switch on the bar that allows you to lock and unlock the bags with just a touch (as long as you have the FOB)

Affirm, you can lock everything with the remote. But I mostly lock with the button on the right handlebar so I don’t have to dig my key out of my pocket. Same with unlock, I just use the handlebar button.

EDIT: Sheesh @coyotek you beat me to it! :)

Then the fun begins when you put it back together and have to figure out where everything goes and in what order.

Also now is the time to add new spark plugs and drain and clean the radiator, just to add a little more fun to the project. :p

Can't speak to the air box but, if you haven't already, now is the time to install the metal quick-disconnect on the fuel line going into the tank.

I don’t know when I’ll get under the air box, but seriously considering buying the metal fitting NOW and having it on hand for when I AM under the air box. Or maybe just wait until I need to replace the air filter.
