they do have a universal option (sticky back quad lock mount)
That was how I initially thought it worked but when looking at the site, all I saw was talk of exterior cases... I was trying to figure out how it attached to the phone. Not so sure that would work out well given some of the extremes in weather we see. Maybe so.... Thanks!

Ahh... yah, I remember now why I was not pleased with the Universal adapter... It is semi-permanantly attached to the phone itself. While working at heights and throughout my normal work day, I carry my phone in the leg pocket of my Dickies pants. Easy to access, stays out of the way of my harness, and is relatively secure from falling from the pocket because it is a pretty snug fit. With this attached, the phone would never fit in my pocket. I suppose I could attach it for the ride then remove it when no longer needed, but that would get to be a pain an I would need to stock up on adhesive and adhesive remover. 😁 Still an option, perhaps.

Any concern about a wireless charger draining the battery when the bike is off?
I just wired mine to my fuse block so it switches on and off with the key. I don't have to think about it at all. Just drop the phone in, turn on the helmet Bluetooth, and go.

Yea I probably need to rig up one of those. :)

Still looking for the "perfect" solution.

Trying to find this style cradle/charger (four corner clamp, wireless charge):

With this syle (1" RAM-like ball) mount:

To hold my natively waterproof phone. Anyone find that all in a single (sub $120) package yet?

Well wadda ya know? Looky here:

(I think that is a 1" RAM-like ball)

Works great, so far... Since my phone is ruggedized and water "proof", it is a bit thicker than your average smart phone. That, combined with a bit of a curve at the edges on the rear, would not allow my phone to be properly grasped by the corner pieces. When I placed it face down, it grabbed just fine. This told me the problem was not the actual thickness, just how it wore its thickness. A few stratigic bends with needle-nose pliers near the end of each arm and it fit just fine. Pretty sure this is going nowhere.

When I grab the phone and give it a shake, I can shake the entire bike sitting on the center stand.

Roughly 1% every 2 minutes with the screen at full intensity? I will take that. :D
