Looking at it, I'm assuming that red is straight 12V power, orange the Canbus and blue the engine management.

 

Blue is BMW/engine management. Red is not just 12V -- there are a lot of sensor-signal-only red wires. I'm guessing that red is just "anything not CAN or LIN bus-controlled."

Hmmm, so now I am totally confident in my rewiring of the bike..... Looks like fun to me... Those poor bastards that have to build these things....

 

While lacking in color codes, and a lot of detail, for an overview I think the images are helpful. For the wiring that I may be interested in, I now can see the path between points.
