Is this a prototype or are you going to make these too? I think with larger screen, ease of use with gloves would be much better....Might be time to upgrade my mount! 😂😂😂
I'm going to make it. Some of the guys over on a FB group asked for it. The mount will work with almost any display you can find but it's the 7" carpuride I designed it for. I have PC boards being made now and should have them in a week or so.

Different mount. It's outside the dash.
Beautiful work on both the 5" and 7" versions. My interest is in play. (y)

I'd prefer the 7" because it's a little larger, and it sits outside the dash. After using the Italian Mount (which sits outside the dash) it would be hard to go back. As far as the 5" version, would it hard to go back and forth with the Nav6 in the dash for those times when I want to use Garmin for navigation?

Just one screw for the 7" Carpuride mount. Then pop up the door and remove the base. (same as the mount you have now)
Just pop up the door and install or remove the 5", just like the Nav VI. No screws at all.
The XT mount you already know.
I agree tho, I kinda liked the 7" out front too.

BTW, the 5 inch Carpuride will also mount out front using the same mount as the 7"

Thanks. Will the removal of your 7" mount for using an in-dash Nav6 be equally simple?
Yes, one screw and then remove the base from the stock mount. The display power cord is split (using a water proof connector). The power lead through the front panel stays with the base. This allows you to remove the 7" for security (overnight parking etc)

@coyotek wow, this looks really good. I'm in the process of getting the "new improved" Nav6, so losing the use of my Zumo XT on my GTL wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Now, if you had an adapter for the Nav6 cradles on GS bikes (1250/850), you'd really have all the bases covered. ;)

This mount should work on the GS cradle. It does on my wife's GS. In fact all of the mounts I've made, I have plugged onto her GS. The 5" Carpuride fits nice and flush. The 7" will be offset up and a bit away.

In anticipation of @coyotek finishing the W702 mount I was eyeballing them on Amazon. What to my surprise do I find but they had a $30 coupon AND a 10% off promo on top. So I ordered the new 2024 version for $228.43 which includes tax.

If you're sitting on the fence or anything...

I'll have the first prototype mount for the GS in about an hour. If I measured everything OK. :ROFLMAO:
